Contacting Schools

Contacting schools or other venues to arrange Outreach sessions can sometimes take time and patience. If you already have an Outreach programme established in your branch, it can be useful to keep a spreadsheet of school contacts to pass on between committees from year to year, as well as contact any teachers with whom you have run an Outreach programme before.

If you're starting from scratch, fear not: there are template letters below to help you get started, and the EWB-UK Outreach team may also be able to help find venues for doing Outreach.

Be sure to also check out our pages on writing risk assessments, preparing lesson plans, and other topics. For additional help, please feel free to contact the EWB-UK Outreach team, or email outreach [at] ewb-uk.org.
